"The book is a wonderful concept… clear concise and highly visual which makes it so easy to get the safety message across in a simple and fun way. Children of the 3-9 year old age groups are like sponges… ‘absorbing’ information and storing it in their memories. There are hazards everywhere in our daily life but the last thing we want to do is terrify our kids or cocoon them from risk. .. The Hari’s World books make it so easy to gently get the message across. This has been long overdue! ".

Rosie Mckenzie, Parent

“I think that this will be so popular with kids. I can’t wait to buy a few copies for my friends kids and hear them shout ‘Oops Hari!’. Such a simple idea and so well done”

Gia Mills, Marketing Consultant

The Hari® brand was lovingly created by family team Tristan-Sean McGee, Tristan-Paul McGee and Sue McGee. Hari® has been helping to teach children about safety awareness since 2008 and these amazing and engaging stories are as relevant today as they were then - as evidenced by the RoSPA 2018 Report 'Reducing unintentional injuries in and around the home among children under five years'.

The report shows that unintentional injuries result in an estimated 370,000 visits to A&E departments and approximately 40,000 emergency hospital admissions among children of this age group each year over the period 2012/13 to 2016/17. The 6 major causes of emergency admissions for the under-fives following unintentional injuries included: Falls (90,372); Impacts, entrapments, lacerations (40,788); Poisoning by and exposure to noxious substances (25,591); Contact with heat and hot substances (12,983); Struck or bumped into by a person, and animal bites and stings (7,346); Suffocation and strangulation (2,159). These six causes represent over 90% of emergency admissions in this age group and the majority of these injuries are preventable. These causes can be found as key hazards in the Hari’s® World books and teaching resources.
