Book Signings

Hari books and merchandise are always made available for purchase during a Hari visit. We would be happy to hold a Book Signing as part of the day as this proves popular with the children. This can be part of the individual sessions or at the end of the visit. Experience shows that the former is the more appropriate because this does not break into the Children’s day a second time although Children are always keen to re-visit the Reader and Hari. We cannot guarantee that the Creator or Author will be at the Reading to sign books and where this is the case the Reader will have pre-signed books which they will then personalise.

Sell on the day. Let parents know that books and merchandise will be for sale on the day. A good way to do this is to send out the 'order leaflet' provided in the Hari Reading Information Pack before the visit. This gives a brief description of Hari's World, web details and the prices of the books and accessories - AND Offers on purchases. This will allow children to bring the right money on the day if they would like a book signed by the Creator or Author or Reader. We request that the money is collected by the Teacher sitting in on the Reading.

Sell through the school. Many schools also prefer to buy-in a number of books to: (i) meet the demand after the Reading; (ii) for the School Library and Classrooms; and (iii) for Prize-giving. We will bring a supply of books and merchandise on the day signed by the Creator or Author.
